About the Wildlife Watch Location
#thenewscompany : Lawachara is a national park and an important wildlife reserve of Bangladesh. Forest is evergreen in nature with numerous hill streams cris-crossed the forest. The most visible wildlife of the park are: Rhesus Macaque, Phayere’s Leaf Monkey, Capped Langur, HolloockGibon, Malayan Giant Squirrel, Pied Hornbill, Malkoha, and Racket-tailed Drongo and many more.
The wildlife watch sight is a primitive forest showingits wilderness in lianas, climbers, vines and orchids. Mysterious gallery forest with diverse plants harmonizing in three canopies. Lush green ferns, moss and other herbs makes the wall of hillocks a mysterious dense wall carpet. In theforest floor, rare centipedes, millipedes, annelids, skinks, frogs with its brilliant color crawls. Spiders are common and forms its network trap nests all along forest. Butterflies and dragonflies are in superabundance. Barking deer and pythons are rare in the forest. The park is inhabited by indigenous Khasia Community and Manipuri in adjacent area since a long with their vibrant and colorful cultural living. “KhasiaPunji” the indigenous forest dwelling cluster villa is hundreds of yearsold. Khasia beetle leaf an indigenous appetizer delicacy growing as climber on forest trees, is also a heritage Khasia community.
