#thenewscompany – Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal today said the members of law enforcement agencies remained alert to ensure overall security for the ongoing Union Parishad (UP)election.
“Law enforcement and intelligence agencies are watching the movements of evil circles, terrorists and militant forces,” he said while speaking at the prize giving ceremony of the Annual Sports of Koratitola CMS Memorial High School and College at Jatrabari in the city. Marking the UP polls in country, the minister said sporadic clashes between local influential quarters were reported at some places, but the law enforcement agencies instantly brought the situation under control. He said there is no scope to push the country backward by unleashing terrorist and militant activities.
Asaduzzaman also lauded the contribution of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to the development in various sectors especially education, food, agriculture, technology and science.
“The nation is now getting world standard education due to the pragmatic and charismatic leadership of the Prime Minister,” he added. President of the Governing Body Hedayetul Islam Swapon, Dhaka City Unit of Awami League leader Shah Alam Murad and founder of the institution Sahbuddin Sarder, among others, spoke on the occasion. Headmaster Mohammad Bazlur Rahman presided over the function.
