It is quite challenging to summarize a list of the best smart phones in the market today (as of November 2012). One thing for certain is that Android technology is leading when it comes to smart phones. In this article, we will be counting down Top 10 Smartphone 2012 in terms of design, performance, software and other special features. HTC One X at 10th
Starting from the bottom, the number 10 spot goes to HTC One X. HTC. By the physical appearance of the phone, you are destined to love it. The phone is super slim and has a 4.7 inch Gorilla Glass display with a resolution of 1280 x 720. Just to complement the 8 megapixel camera mounted on its back it has a front facing camera which is 1.3 megapixels. The phone runs on Android 4 Ice cream Sandwich operating system and it has a 1.5 GHz dual-core processor. It has a total storage of 12GB which is non expandable.
Apple iPhone 4S at 9th
Moving on to number nine is the Apple iPhone 4S 16GB. Yes, the absence of 4G on the phone was a big disappointment but to make it up for this it has a Retina Display which is super AMOLED and a new feature called SIRI. SIRI is a voice assistant application that is way advanced compared to the normal voice command on regular phones. It also upgraded to Bluetooth 4.0 which I find very impressive and it has an 8 MP camera.
Motorola Droid Razr Maxx at 8th
Coming in at number eight is Motorola Droid Razr Maxx. This phone has a great battery life of 21 hrs talk time. It has a 4.3 inch super AMOLED screen with 960 x 540 pixels and is 0.35 inches thick which is slightly thicker by 0.07 inches compared with Motorola Rzr. It has a 1.2 GHz Dual core processor, 1GB RAM and runs on Android 2.3.5. It has a total internal storage of 16GB which is expandable with a 16GB micro SD card.
HTC Evo 4G LTE at 7th
At number seven is HTC Evo 4G LTE. This was the pioneer of 4G WiMAX on phones. It has a 4.7 inch display screen with 1280 x 720 pixels. The T-mobile MyTouch 4G Slide is at number 6. The phone has a 3.7 inch super LCD display, 4G connectivity, Android 2.3 and runs on a hardware platform run by a dual core processor. Its most outstanding feature is it killer camera which is 8MP.
HTC Rezound at 5th
At number 5 is HTC Rezound. It has a 1.5 GHz dual core processor, 4.3 inches LCD display, 2 cameras (one front facing 2MP and one at the back 8MP) and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. It has an inbuilt Beats Audio which when connected to Beats Audio head/earphones is enhanced to produce quality music.
Samsung Galaxy Nexus at 4th
Samsung Galaxy Nexus is at number 4. Although it was launched late last year, this phone still beats most phones produced this year. It has a 4.65 inches high def super AMOLED display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (which is the best operating system yet from Android), 1.2 GHz dual core processor, 1GB RAM and 16 or 32BG storage.

Number three is HTC One S. it has a 4.3 inch qHD Gorilla Glass Screen, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 8MP camera, a total of 16GB memory, inbuilt Beats Audio and a 1.5 dual core processor. The most appealing factor with it is that it comes with a 25GB Dropbox storage.
Galaxy S3 at 2nd
Galaxy S3 comes second. This was certainly one of the most anticipated phones of all times. It has 4.8 inch HD display, the latest Android operating system 4.0.4 running concurrently with Samsung’s TouchWiz 5.0 platform, quad core processor and a super 8MP camera. This phone is breathtaking.
Apple iPhone 5 at Top
