Sports scored big in the first week of 2013, inspiring activity across a range of social networks. Thirteen of the top 20 most discussed programs on broadcast and cable were sports-related.
Not very surprising in a week that held six NCAA bowl games and three NFL playoffs. Sunday’s Ravens-Colts matchup on CBS drew the most attention and social comments on either cable or broadcast, just ahead of FOX’s Seahawks-Redskins game, leaving Ryan Seacrest’s New Year’s Eve celebration buried at third place.
